This role is for a 4 month contract with a possibility of extension and the hourly rate for this position is $21.99 to $25.00 depending on the current term-year of the selected candidate.Job Description:Major Job Functions:Story Development:
  • Work with the communications team totrack down story details needed for internal or external stories. This mayinvolve meeting with and interviewing Finning individual contributors andleaders,orconducting online research.

  • Draft and edit story content forinternal or external stories.

  • Support the development of the weekly Traction Roundup newsletter by compiling submissions, editingcopy,laying out thenewsletteror finding photos/videos for publication.

  • Provideaccurateandtimelyresponses to project requests.

  • Safeguard confidentiality of projects, meetings, and sensitive informationat all times.

  • Represent Finning ethically and professionally in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

AdministrativeTasks:
  • Supportthemaintenanceof the Finning intranet called Tractionby adding,deletingor updating content or pages on the site.

  • Consult with internal stakeholders to review Traction page content andensure pages are updated andaccurate.

Planningand presentations:
  • Assistin organizingmeetings, events,and learning sessions that align withcommunications' goals.

  • Supportthe development of presentation material related to internal and external communications.

Data & Reporting:
  • Track participation, feedback, and outcomes ofcommunicationsinitiatives.

  • Prepare reports for leadership oncommunicationprogram impact and opportunities.

Education & Experience:
  • Enrolledin a communications,journalismor broadcast programat a post-second institution.

SoftSkills:
  • Organize tasks, manage deadlines, and ensure accuracy across projects.

  • Communicate clearly with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Prioritize and multitask effectively in fast-paced environments.

  • Work independently,demonstratinginitiative and adaptability.
