Job description

Why We Exist and What We Do:

At Dr. Squatch (www.drsquatch.com), we're raising the bar on men's personal care with our line of natural, high-performance products. We're on a high-growth, fast-moving ride, continually introducing new product categories, launching into retailers nationwide, and growing internationally. We have been recognized and certified by Great Place to Work® multiple times, and we achieved status as a certified B Corp in 2023. We are looking for passionate, talented people who want to join us in our mission to inspire and educate men to be happier and healthier!

About the Role:

Dr. Squatch is looking for a Buyer to join our Supply Chain organization. This role is responsible for executing purchase orders for contract manufacturing, maintaining accurate and up-to-date order information in Anvyl / Sage, NetSuite, and Google Sheets, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure all orders are fulfilled on time and in full.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building and maintaining effective supplier relationships. High attention to detail and comfort working in an ERP or similarly complex platform are necessary for success in this position.

This role will report to the Senior Sourcing Manager.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based in Marina del Rey, CA.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $70,000 to $85,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Create and manage purchase orders for contract manufacturing services in Anvyl / Sage and NetSuite based on requirements determined by supply planning.
  • Send purchase orders to suppliers, confirm receipt and acceptance of terms, and ensure all open orders are updated with accurate quantities, pricing, and delivery dates.
  • Partner with supply planning and production teams to execute PO changes and monitor inventory levels to proactively adjust purchasing as needed.
  • Work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure timely delivery, resolve issues, and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the sourcing team to maintain accurate pricing, ensure supplier RFPs and samples are current, and support alternate sourcing options when needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and proactive communication.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing, payment terms, and lead times to support cost-effective and timely procurement.
  • Partner with supply planning, sourcing, quality, retail, and operations teams to align on material requirements, production schedules, and delivery priorities.
  • Support sourcing initiatives by reaching out to new suppliers, gathering quotations, ordering samples, and maintaining supplier data for benchmarking and evaluation.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key procurement metrics such as lead time performance, cost savings, and supplier reliability.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve cross-functional communication.
  • Occasional travel to industry conferences, vendor sites, and Dr. Squatch manufacturing facilities.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Experience executing purchase orders and working directly with suppliers.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries.
  • Experience in the consumer products industry strongly preferred.
  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources, works with urgency, and solves problems creatively.
  • Someone who takes ownership, maintains high standards, and is invested in outcomes.
  • Someone who supports teammates, stays positive, and brings a good sense of humor to the team.
