Drive Project Success and Financial Accuracy for Industrial Concrete Builds

JOB OVERVIEW

THE OPPORTUNITY

Join JP Tank, a growing leader in industrial concrete construction, and play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and seamless execution of our complex projects. This position offers a direct career path into construction estimating and project management, working closely with our company President and estimator. You will be instrumental in turning estimates into proposals and tracking project performance from start to finish.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Convert detailed estimates into professional customer proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project scope. In addition, you will submit proposals to customers, track proposal status, maintain bid logs, and assist the estimator with bid documentation and organization.
  • Establish robust project budgets and financial controls within our accounting system, aligning estimates with job cost tracking structures.
  • Monitor project performance diligently, tracking job costs, labor hours, and production data to identify efficiencies and potential overruns.
  • Manage all critical project documentation, including drawing revisions, submittals, and change orders, ensuring field teams have current and accurate information.
  • Contribute to real-time job forecasting and post-project analysis, providing insights to improve future estimating accuracy and project profitability.
  • Coordinate vendor invoice coding and entry, verifying alignment with project budgets and ensuring accurate job costing records.
  • Support the overall operations team by maintaining bid pipelines, tracking KPIs, and assisting with weekly project performance reporting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong organizational ability and meticulous attention to detail, especially with numerical data.
  • Proven comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets for financial tracking and analysis.
  • Excellent written communication skills for professional proposal creation and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex documentation systems and project data efficiently.
  • Capacity to thrive and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Proficiency with Intuit Enterprise Suite (Construction Accounting), Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and digital project file systems (e.g., Dropbox).
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or similar construction scheduling software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in the construction industry.
  • Prior experience in project coordination or estimating support roles.
  • Familiarity with construction accounting or job cost systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
