Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager in Oregon for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of acute inpatient case management experience.
Job Details
• Short-term acute care hospital setting within a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching facility,
• Case management role covering adult inpatient and ED populations,
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with start dates on Tuesdays,
• Patient caseload ratio of 1:20-25,
• Variable weekend requirements,
• Floating required within scope to adult inpatient, ED, and Pediatrics units - including possible float to a nearby affiliate hospital,
• No on-call requirements,
• Epic EMR used; experience highly preferred,
• Block scheduling may be accommodated by request,
Job Requirements
• Active Oregon RN license required; pending license accepted if application has been submitted and received by the licensing board to qualify for the 90-day license exemption,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of acute, inpatient, hospital case management experience within the last 5 years required,
• Experience in inpatient medical/surgical, ED, and/or pediatric settings required,
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required - Charge RN references are not acceptable,
• COVID vaccination documentation required with no exemptions,
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred,
• Travel nursing experience preferred,
Additional Information
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Local candidates are accepted,
• Solid-color scrubs required - no prints (scrubs provided),
• RTO is capped at 7-10 days maximum and must be communicated upfront; any RTO must be made up at the end of the contract,
• Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this health system must have a reference completed by the OHSU manager who supervised them,
• Candidates must be absent for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler to this facility,
• Daily parking is available for a fee; public transportation is highly encouraged
