Budget Manager Atlanta, GA Hybrid Let Vaco introduce you to our client who is hiring a Financial Operations & Budget Manager, where you’ll lead budgeting, financial planning, and compliance. This role manages a diverse portfolio of operating, endowed, and sponsored funds while partnering with faculty and leadership to ensure smart, compliant, and strategic use of resources.This role is perfect for someone who enjoys blending financial strategy with hands?on operational impact in a collaborative academic environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee budgets across operating, endowed, grant, and sponsored funds.

Lead the annual budget cycle, forecasting, and financial reporting. Support institution-wide budget development and financial planning. Advise faculty and staff on financial policies, best practices, and resource strategy.

Manage post?award grant administration, including compliance and reporting. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and sponsor regulations. Build and maintain Smartsheet-based financial tracking systems and workflows.

Manage contracts, purchasing, reimbursements, vendor payments, and fund transfers. Prepare financial reports for leadership, auditors, and external agencies. Administer designated funds, student awards, and faculty support programs.

Requirements: BS/BA degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting Technical experience in Excel, Smartsheets, and Tableau 3 years of relevant budgeting experience Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
