GECAC, an Equal Opportunity Employer, the largest anti-poverty organization in Erie County, PA is seeking an Assistant Budget Analyst. With a budget of approximately $15 million and more than 110 staff, we help people and change lives on a daily basis. GECAC helps people throughout Erie County break the cycle of poverty, be self-sufficient and achieve financial independence. Will you join our team? 


This rewarding Assistant Budget Analyst position is full time at 37.5 hours per week.

Job Summary:

Will be able to follow established standard financial procedures in the following areas:  

o Assist Budget Analyst with preparation of annual AAA Operating Budget.

o Financial management and analysis of financial data and contract compliance 

o Prepare and maintain budgets and projections for AAA programs 

o Assist with development of line item budgets and forecasting expenditures.

o Monitor revenue and expenditures 

o Conduct fiscal monitoring of sub-contracted/recipient agencies to ensure compliance.  

o Review senior center program income reports 

o Verify bank reconciliation on all program income accounts

o Prepare reports, review in-kind reports, and track and code senior donations 

o Review and process monthly invoices 

o Prepare monthly billing and monitor AR billing system 

o Assist with the physical inventory for the Aging Division

Requirements

Associates degree in Accounting or Business Administration with 3-5 years of experience in public or private accounting or a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with 1-3 years of experience in public or private accounting preferred

Experience in budgeting and non-profit accounting is preferred  

Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Microsoft Teams

Knowledge of MIP Fund Accounting Software a plus.

Must have current Act 34 clearance issued within the past 5 years. Must meet immigration requirements.
