Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
- Review customer specifications and support sales teams by approving customer quotes
- Create and implement items, recipes, mill instructions and other quality system documents for Ni rolled and forged bars products
- Support certifications and testing of Ni rolled and forged bars orders and shipments
- Utilize Continuous Improvement tools throughout the manufacturing process of Ni rolled and forged bars products, leading to increased yield, better quality, and reduced costs
- Provide technical support to commercial teams during customer engagement for both on-site and off-site meetings
- Communicate results to management, colleagues and customers in the form of written reports and oral presentations
Basic Requirements
- BS. in Material Science Engineering or related discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with wrought processing (i.e., conventional melting, press forging, radial forging, hot rolling, conditioning, heat treatment, etc.).
- 2+ years of process or product engineering experience or higher education related to Ni/Fe/Co-base super alloys, titanium and/or specialty steels preferred.
Professional & Technical Requirements
- Must be comfortable meeting with customers, presenting at technical meetings, and be willing to travel (2-4 times per year).
- Must be enthusiastic, excited about tackling challenges, and comfortable with working in a continuous improvement environment.
- Statistical data analysis experience using JMP, Mini-Tab, or related software.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
