Job description

Job Description: Engine Test Engineer of automotive engine units. The work activities will include, but not be limited to:

Responsibilities:

· Perform engine testing using dynamometer (dyno) systems

· Set up and operate engine test benches and instrumentation

· Ensure safe and efficient test execution

· Collect and process engine test data

· Support engine durability, thermal, and NVH validation activities

· Analyze results using data acquisition systems

· Generate test reports and performance insights

· Assist calibration teams in optimizing engine performance

· Support tuning activities based on test results

· Conduct engine performance evaluation including power, torque, efficiency, and emissions

· Perform carbon balance calculations for fuel efficiency and emissions analysis

· Understand and analyze engine operation principles

· Apply combustion fundamentals to interpret test outcomes

· Troubleshoot engine and test-related issues

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or with experience in a relevant discipline

· 2-3 years of demonstrated automotive experience with detail-oriented focus in engine/transmission testing support.

· Hands-on experience in Dynamometer (dyno) operation, Engine test cell setup and execution

· Strong understanding of IC engine working principles, Combustion theory, Carbon balance and emissions calculations, Engine performance metrics

· Tools & Software: Data acquisition and analysis tools

· Good problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills

· Microsoft Excel and powerpoint for presentations and project tracking activities
