Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides oversight of Company's regional Finance departments. Develops and produces financial tools and reports, both routine and special needs, that will collect, disseminate and analyze operational financial data to improve Company identification and correction of problems, and respond to Government requests for financial information.
Extensive travel may be required.
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION:
Provides oversight of Company's regional Finance departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Oversee Center Finance Departments. This includes support, technical assistance, and training. Review Center financial reconciliations and all financial reports, support Centers on the use of MICROSOFT DYNAMICS SL and PayCom.
  2. Travel to Centers as required for on-site Finance Department assignment to fill temporary vacancies, provide specific problem resolution and for miscellaneous Finance training.
  3. Learn all aspects of Job Corps Center Finance Department systems and tasks.
  4. Review and assist in evaluations of Center Finance staff.
  5. Assist with Center Finance staff training and development, to include holding individual Finance staff accountable for performance and timeliness.
  6. Assist in the development, review and reliability of data and reports used to support budget management and control at the Centers.
  7. Improve existing financial reports and develop new reports that enhance the ability for Center and Corporate management to understand the financial status of their operation.
  8. Compile monthly summaries of contract financial performance for Corporate management review.
  9. Assist with other Center F&A Department staff in support of Finance productivity, effectiveness and efficiency.
  10. Develop perpetual and requested special reports for Company and Center Management based on accumulated data to provide timely and relevant analyses for decision-making.
  11. Provide detailed review of Center reports to Corporate management.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related business field) required, and 3-plus years' experience in Accounting and/or Finance. Analytically adept, computer literate with excellent spreadsheet proficiency, and excellent organizational and writing skills required. Experience with MICROSOFT DYNAMICS SL (Solomon) and PayCom is desired. Job Corps and supervisory experience are preferred.
