SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position will participate in the successful transformation from a reactive organization to a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving. Assists the CI Director and Site Directors in training and coaching key personnel through the continuous improvement problem solving processes and establishing the culture of a learning organization.

The CI Manager will facilitate the IDEX operating model using the Toyota Kata framework to implement visual standards, lean countermeasures (i.e. Kanban, 5S, VSM), and be accountable for Learner results. Deploy methods to solve complex, interdisciplinary issues using consistent and proven methods. Responsible for collaborating and communicating initiatives with highly cross-functional teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Successfully accomplish improvements demonstrating competence in the Toyota Improvement and Coaching Kata, DMAIC methodology,
  • Perform data gathering, analysis, and validations methods for business analytics.
  • Lead Kaizen's to teach the Toyota Kata while developing teams to solve problems cross-functionally through process mapping and leverage the high-low impact matrix to prioritize solutions.
  • Facilitate Quality Advocate Training methods for the organization.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining operational excellence and Quality KPI's and countermeasures.
  • Actively engage and own improvements as needed by the organization.
  • Create and collaborate with user groups to strengthen the bench.
  • Lead and support other projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: B.S. or equivalent experience, preferably in continuous improvement, business process development, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Competency in data analytics and statistical methods.
  • Proficiency in Toyota Kata.
  • Extensive knowledge of CI tools (PDCA, Gemba Walks, 5 Whys, etc) and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Kaizen leader.
  • Change Management.
  • Expert Excel skills required.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • JDE experience preferred.
  • Experience analyzing part quantity process routing (PQPR) manufacturing data.
  • Analytical thinker, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Recognizes problems and opportunities with a bias for taking action.
  • Influential leadership and assertiveness to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present in front of large groups and lead effective change management
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate and partner across disciplines, departments, and sites.

The compensation range for this position is $88,200.00 - $132,200.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
