Job description

What You'll Do
As Quality Improvement Manager for Easterseals New York Rochester, you will work closely with management to identify areas of improvement, create and implement quality improvement programs, develop standard operating procedures and facility policies and conduct audits to monitor their effectiveness to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing strategies in partnership with management to identify potential deficiencies in operations
  • Making recommendations to improve quality of service delivery in our residential program for individuals with development disabilities.
  • Investigating incidents affecting clients in our residential program for individuals with development disabilities.
  • Providing initial and ongoing management training to department managers.
  • Entering incidents in IRMA and WSIR for reporting to NY OPWDD.
  • Maintaining database - DSS Family Net Web and ETO software
  • Preparing the facilities for audits, making sure all documentation is in place to support and maintain accreditation.
  • Working with management team to develop strategies to assist in reducing staff turnover.
  • Generating monthly and annual data reports.
You're great a great fit for this role if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in program administration in a social service agency.
  • Experience in quality assurance (at least 2+ years), preferably in social services, public health, or workforce development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent investigative skills.
  • Integrity and commitment to safeguard confidential information.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in using computer and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

The Kessler Center has broad expertise working with students across the entire range of developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as with children who struggle with behavioral challenges. In addition to The Kessler Center, we operate a dayhab program and provide respite care.
