Here at the Detroit Pistons, we believe great stories create lasting connections. We're looking for a Production Content Strategy Manager to help shape how our creative teams ย plan, produce, and deliver impactful content across every fan touchpoint. ย 


In this role, you'll lead the operational strategy behind our content production, bringing ย together creative, marketing, digital, partnerships, and production teams to ensure ย projects move seamlessly from concept to execution. You'll improve workflows, optimize production planning, oversee content operations, and help our teams produce world-class creative at scale. This role also provides leadership to our Video Systems Coordinator while driving operational excellence across the organization.ย 


What You'll Do

  • Lead production operations and cross-functional planning for the Content & Video Production team.ย 
  • Partner with Marketing, Digital, Brand, Partnerships, and Production teams to prioritize projects and align creative resources.ย 
  • Manage production timelines, project workflows, budgets, and resource planning to ensure successful execution.ย 
  • Build and improve scalable processes that enhance collaboration, communication, and operational efficiency.ย 
  • Oversee digital asset management, including organization, metadata, governance, archiving, and accessibility.ย 
  • Manage external vendors and production partners for shoots, campaigns, and special projects.ย 
  • Track project progress, team capacity, and production priorities while providing leadership with clear reporting and recommendations.ย 
  • Mentor and develop the Video Systems Coordinator while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.ย 
  • Support game nights, events, and content productions as needed to continuously improve the fan and brand experience.ย 


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.ย 
  • 5-8 years of experience leading creative operations, production management, content strategy, or project management within sports, media, entertainment, agency, or brand environments.ย 
  • Experience leading cross-functional creative teams and managing production workflows from planning through execution.ย 
  • Strong understanding of creative production, digital content, video workflows, and asset management systems.ย 
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.ย 
  • Experience managing vendors, production partners, and external agencies.ย 
  • Ability to translate business objectives into scalable production processes and operational strategies.ย 
  • Passion for sports, storytelling, and creating content that connects with fans.ย 
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, or workflow optimization tools is a plus.
