As a Content Production Associate, your responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

  • Collaborating with our product, curriculum, and marketing teams to develop and produce high-quality print and digital curricula materials for our K-12 instructional program. This includes overseeing the editorial process, ensuring accurate and engaging content, and managing the production timeline.
  • Managing the editorial aspects of our in-person and online professional development workshops. This includes developing and producing print and digital materials to support the workshops, such as training manuals, handouts, and multimedia presentations. You will ensure that the content is aligned with our curriculum goals and effectively communicates key concepts to educators.
  • Improving and optimizing our content development, input, editing, and production workflows. You will identify areas for process enhancement, streamline collaboration between teams, and implement tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and quality. This includes overseeing the editorial review process, coordinating feedback from stakeholders, and maintaining version control.
  • Leading a team of content creators and editors, providing guidance, feedback, and support throughout the content production lifecycle. You will ensure that team members adhere to style guides, maintain consistency in tone and voice, and meet project deadlines.
  • Managing relationships with external vendors, such as freelance writers, editors, and designers, to supplement internal content production efforts. This includes sourcing and contracting freelancers, providing project briefs, and ensuring deliverables meet our quality standards.
  • Monitoring industry trends and best practices in educational publishing, media, and content production. You will stay informed about advancements in digital content creation, distribution platforms, and instructional design methodologies, and make recommendations for implementing innovative strategies to enhance our content offerings.

About You:

  • You hold a BA/BS or equivalent degree in a related field.
  • You have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in publishing, education, or media industries, with a focus on editorial and content production.
  • You possess exceptional organizational skills and have a strong attention to detail. You can manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and ensure accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively with team members across the organization. You can clearly articulate ideas, provide constructive feedback, and build consensus among stakeholders.
  • You are familiar with industry-standard content creation and production tools, such as content management systems, editing software, and project management platforms. Experience with instructional design principles and e-learning platforms is a plus.
  • You are passionate about education and have a deep understanding of K-12 curriculum development and instructional practices. You stay up-to-date with the latest trends and research in education and are committed to delivering impactful and engaging content to educators and students.
