Job description
Jomboy Media's Content Internship is a hands-on training program for students who want to learn how sports media content actually gets made, from live events to studio shows to social media. Working for academic credit, you'll shadow and assist our content creators, editors, and producers under direct supervision, with real exposure to our flagship shows: Warehouse Games, Talkin' Yanks, Talkin' Baseball, We Got Ice, and Breakdowns. This internship runs from August 31- December 11th and is based out of our NYC office and Warehouse space in Jersey City.

  • End date: December 11th
  • Hours per week: 20-30, working around your class and university schedule

Requirements
  • Strong familiarity with Jomboy Media content across all platforms.
  • Experience or coursework using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn across many parts of production.
  • Understanding of Jomboy Media's brand, voice and audience.
  • Organized, creative, a good communicator, and a team player.

Able to work out of either our NYC office or Warehouse in Jersey City on assigned days.
Responsibilities May Include
  • Learning the content creation cycle by assisting our content and production teams under supervision.
  • Shadowing producers on new and existing Jomboy Media brands.
  • Contributing creative ideas for engaging our community across content and social channels.
  • Assisting with research, show logistics, and analytics to support production.
  • Observing and assisting producers, editors, and the social team to learn how content aligns with brand strategy.
  • Gaining exposure to a range of productions, including live events, studio shows, run-and-gun content, and podcasts, always under the guidance of our team.

This internship is a fixed-term learning experience with no expectation of continued employment. Strong performance may be considered for future openings, but a job is never guaranteed. Our internship program is currently unpaid. Candidates must receive school credit.
