Job description

Title: Marketing Manager, Content & AI Enablement

Location: Fully Remote

Reports To: VP, Marketing & Communications

Pharmacy benefit management is a $500B+ industry most people have never heard of - but it has a major impact on how prescription drugs are priced, accessed, and paid for. Expion Health is at the forefront of changing how that system works.

We sit at the intersection of data, technology, and pharmacy economics, helping clients stay ahead of a rapidly evolving market. We are also in the middle of a company-wide AI transformation, with teams across the business rethinking how work gets done.

The Role

We are looking for a Marketing Manager, Content & AI Enablement to help our marketing team create stronger work faster by combining AI ingenuity with marketing fundamentals. This is not a role for someone who wants to use AI around the edges. It is for someone who wants to help build a more modern, faster, smarter marketing function from the inside.

You do not need to be a professional copywriter, designer, developer, or digital media expert. But you do need to know what strong marketing looks like: clear writing, sharp messaging, smart design, audience relevance, brand consistency, and content that actually gets people to pay attention.

You should already be using AI tools beyond basic experimentation. You are not just asking ChatGPT for a caption once in a while. You are using AI to draft, edit, ideate, summarize, repurpose, design, produce, test, and improve how work gets done. You are curious about what comes next: smarter prompts, reusable workflows, AI skills, agents, automations, AI-assisted video creation, presentation development, and content systems that make marketing faster and better.

Most importantly, you are leaning into how AI can evolve marketing. You are not scared of new tools. You are curious, hands-on, self-directed, and excited to figure things out.

What You'll Do

Enhance Creative Excellence and Marketing Content Production

You will use AI tools and marketing platforms to produce and improve marketing assets across touchpoints.

  • Create and enhance presentations, sales enablement materials, thought leadership pieces, email newsletters, press releases, social graphics, short-form videos, internal communications, campaign assets, and ad copy.
  • Turn raw inputs - SME interviews, transcripts, notes, outlines, webinars, research, briefs, or existing materials - into polished marketing content.
  • Repurpose long-form content into LinkedIn posts, sales slides, email campaigns, short videos, social graphics, newsletter content, and internal updates.
  • Improve existing content for clarity, structure, message strength, visual polish, brand alignment, and audience relevance.
  • Use AI to accelerate drafting, editing, summarization, ideation, versioning, QA, creative development, and content adaptation.
  • Make sure AI-assisted content is accurate, on-brand, audience-appropriate, and ready for review or publication.

Build AI-Enabled Marketing Workflows

You will help the marketing team move beyond one-off AI use and toward practical, repeatable workflows.

  • Build and refine prompts, templates, workflows, and repeatable processes for common marketing needs.
  • Explore advanced AI use cases for marketing, including skills, agents, automations, AI-assisted landing pages, video development, presentation creation, content repurposing, and campaign testing.
  • Identify where AI can improve speed, quality, consistency, and scale across the marketing team.
  • Help document best practices for responsible AI use, including accuracy, brand voice, compliance, privacy, and quality control.
  • Stay current on emerging AI tools and recommend practical ways to use them in real marketing work.

Support Digital Marketing and Campaign Activation

You will support marketing efforts across content, paid promotion, SEO, and email by using platforms, tools, and AI to:

  • Support SEO and AI search optimization through content updates, keyword research, metadata, and performance optimization.
  • Assist with campaign strategy, planning, asset development, testing, launch, and optimization.
  • Support the creation of simple marketing dashboards or centralized views of content and campaign performance.

Improve Marketing Project Management and Content Operations

You will help make marketing work easier to create, manage, review, and reuse.

  • Identify opportunities to use AI or technology to improve how marketing content gets created and delivered.
  • Optimize project planning, timelines, workflows, and asset tracking.
  • Enhance collaboration, feedback, and approval processes.
  • Improve the organization, management, and reuse of marketing assets and finished materials.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Design, Business, or a related field - or equivalent demonstrated work.
  • Foundational understanding of marketing principles and best practices with 1–5 years of experience or demonstrated strength in at least one of the following areas:
    • Brand marketing and development
    • Content marketing and production (thought leadership, newsletters, press releases, content production, webinars, etc).
    • Sales enablement (tradeshow/industry activation and partnerships, sales materials and presentations, product marketing)
    • Digital marketing (SEO, SEM, paid social, Google Ads, email marketing, landing pages, campaign optimization, etc).
  • Good writing ability and strong editing judgment, with the ability to write clear, human copy that does not sound generic or templated.
  • Strong eye for content quality, message clarity, visual presentation, design, and brand fit.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools as part of how you create or work.
  • More than beginner-level curiosity and experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, AI video tools, AI avatar tools, image-generation tools, or similar.
  • Experience using marketing, creative, or campaign tools such as LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe, CapCut, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, CMS platforms, project management tools, or similar.
  • Comfortable with turning raw inputs, loose direction, or broad marketing needs into powerful ideas, impactful content or a smart strategy.
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable working through ambiguity.
  • Willingness to experiment, learn, document, and improve how work gets done.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills

Preferred:

  • A portfolio of relevant work
  • Experience with or strong interest in marketing to B2B audiences
  • Marketing project management, campaign coordination, content operations, or creative production.
  • Experience with AI-assisted presentation creation, short-form video, voiceover, avatar-based video, social graphics, landing page creation, or content repurposing
  • Experience building prompt libraries, reusable templates, automations, skills, agents, or structured AI workflows
  • Experience supporting healthcare, B2B, regulated industries, or agency environments

What Success Looks Like

In the first 4 months:

  • Develop a solid working understanding of the business, brand, audiences, solutions, and marketing priorities.
  • Build a clear point of view on how AI can help the marketing team work faster, smarter, and more creatively.
  • Identify and prioritize practical AI enablement opportunities for marketing content ideation, creation, repurposing, review, and production.
  • Experiment with advanced AI applications such as skills, agents, automations, and structured workflows.
  • Build reusable prompt libraries, templates, workflows, collaboration processes, and review steps for use across the marketing team.
  • Improve the quality, consistency, speed, and polish of AI-assisted marketing content.

Why Expion, Why Now

This role exists because marketing is changing fast, and we'd rather lead that change than react to it. You won't be asked to use AI around the edges or pilot it on a side project. You'll help rebuild how our marketing team creates, ships, and scales work - with real budget, real support, and real room to experiment.

If you're already pushing past basic AI use and want an environment that will push you further, this is that seat. The tools are new, the playbook is being written, and you'll help write it.

Our values say it best: Build boldly, improve relentlessly. If that resonates with how you want to work, we want to talk.
