Join Bailey Education Group, LLC as our Contract ELA Content Manager and elevate K-12 Education to new heights in a national educational consulting company. The ELA Content Manager is an experienced and dynamic instructional leader and subject-matter expert supporting academic excellence through program design, content development, and team collaboration. This innovative role is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality professional learning experiences rooted in adult learning principles, ensuring the effective delivery of rigorous, standards-aligned ELA content through skilled facilitation, expert instructional design, and the creation of impactful professional development and instructional resources. This role also serves as a coach for instructional coaches and internal stakeholders to strengthen instructional practice and ELA content knowledge across multiple states and educational contexts. A visionary practitioner, the ELA Content Manager drives innovation and contributes as a member of the Academic team. 

Key Responsibilities

ELA Content Leadership

  • Serve as the primary expert in ELA standards, curriculum, and instructional practices.
  • Provide content support and professional learning to coaches and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate comprehensive team training sessions focused on ELA content expertise and coaching practices
  • Guide and support the development of ELA instructional resources, ensuring rigor, alignment, and responsiveness.
  • Stay current on ELA research, trends, and policy across multiple states.
  • Partner with project managers to ensure content quality across deliverables.

Professional Development & Facilitation

  • Design and facilitate high-impact professional learning for instructional coaches and staff.
  • Lead sessions on ELA content, pedagogy, and coaching strategies.
  • Present at organizational, state, and national professional learning events and conferences.
  • Model effective facilitation and adult learning strategies in all settings.

Instructional Design, Review & Content Development

  • Lead the design and implementation of standards-aligned ELA tools, resources, and professional learning materials.
  • Create model sessions and content that reflect best practices in adult learning and ELA instruction.
  • Ensure timely delivery and high quality of all content deliverables.
  • Manage ELA content organization and accessibility through internal systems (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive program for instructional reviews and audits for schools, aimed at evaluating teaching practices, curriculum implementation, and student outcomes to drive continuous improvement.

Coaching & Team Management

  • Coach instructional professionals including direct services to schools and Districts, to deepen ELA knowledge and improve practice.
  • Shadow team members to provide real-time support and feedback.
  • Prepare and onboard new coaches with foundational content knowledge and resources.
  • Manage the Early Literacy Lead and program to ensure effective design, development and implementation of strong early literacy pedagogy and program
  • Actively collaborate across content teams and across departments to ensure coherence in common goals
  • Represent ELA in multi-state collaboration and alignment efforts.
  • Contribute to internal quality review processes and share best practices across content areas.

Organizational Representation & Standards

  • Represent the organization at external events and conferences.
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Uphold organizational values, quality standards, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and integrate current research in ELA across multiple states
  • Respond to emerging state needs with customized and research-based solutions.
  • Incorporate innovative practices into professional learning, content design, and coaching.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in English education, Curriculum & Instruction, or education related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in ELA instruction, coaching, or design and development.
  • Expertise in standards-aligned curriculum design and facilitation of adult professional learning.
  • Strong knowledge of literacy instruction, early literacy development, and science of reading
  • Proven ability to lead and coach educators across diverse contexts.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working across multiple state educational systems (preferred)
  • Proficient in using technology for virtual session delivery, designing tools and resources using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and other design platforms.
