Job description

Technical Specialist 4 – UX Training Developer (Contentful CMS)

Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)
Interview: Webcam
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver training curriculum for Contentful CMS users.
  • Create user guides, training materials, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
  • Conduct instructor-led and virtual training sessions.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Contentful CMS and other web applications.
  • Assist agencies with website content updates and content management best practices.
  • Support migration of websites from HCL CMS to Contentful CMS.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Perform user journey analysis and support information architecture initiatives.
  • Communicate platform updates, enhancements, and known issues to end users.
  • Support Agile project activities including sprint planning and user feedback.
Required Skills
  • Experience developing and managing training curriculum.
  • Strong employee training and instructional design experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Experience with Contentful CMS.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and web design concepts.
  • Experience with information architecture and user journey mapping.
  • Experience using training development software.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Vendor coordination and stakeholder communication experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with HCL Web Content Manager (WCM).
  • Experience supporting government web platforms.
  • Experience with InnovateOhio Platform (IOP) or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Knowledge of Ohio State Government processes and regulations.
  • Experience with Cloudinary, Form.IO, Audience Manager, or Developer Portal.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Design, UX, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience delivering technical training and supporting enterprise web applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Columbus, Ohio.
