Essential Job Functions
  • Greet visitors and assist students, faculty, and staff with inquiries.
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls as needed.
  • Perform data entry, filing, and document organization.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, reserving rooms, and coordinating appointments.
  • Prepare and distribute office communications, such as emails, memos, and flyers.
  • Maintain and update the department website with current information, announcements, and resources, as directed.
  • Ensure online content is accurate, timely, and aligned with university standards.
  • Maintain office supplies and ensure workspaces are tidy and organized.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Assist with special projects, events, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Must be a currently enrolled student at Alcorn State University
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
