Overview

At Crocs, Inc., we are seeking a Director, Consumer & Brand Insights to define and lead the enterprise consumer and brand insights strategy across the Crocs and HEYDUDE portfolios.

This leader will serve as the voice of the consumer across the organization, shaping enterprise priorities, influencing senior leaders, and ensuring consumer insights are embedded in strategic decision-making across brand, product, marketing, commercial, and corporate planning.

The Director will establish and evolve a world-class consumer insights function, translating consumer understanding into actionable business strategies that drive growth, strengthen brand equity, and create competitive advantage.

What You'll Do

Shape Enterprise Strategy

Set the vision and roadmap for consumer and brand insights across Crocs and HEYDUDE, ensuring insights directly inform business strategy, growth priorities, product innovation, and long-range planning.

Lead Consumer-Centric Decision Making

Champion the consumer perspective across the organization, influencing senior leaders to make more informed decisions grounded in deep consumer understanding and market dynamics.

Define the Insights Agenda

Lead the enterprise insights ecosystem, including brand tracking, segmentation, consumer behaviors, attitudes, purchase drivers, competitive intelligence, and emerging consumer trends.

Drive Business Impact

Translate complex consumer and market signals into strategic recommendations that influence enterprise priorities and create measurable business outcomes.

Partner with Executive Leadership

Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leadership teams, providing forward-looking insights that inform investment decisions, portfolio strategy, innovation pipelines, brand positioning, and commercial planning.

Build Organizational Capability

Elevate how consumer insights are understood and utilized across the organization by developing frameworks, tools, reporting, and best practices that make insights actionable and accessible.

Anticipate Future Opportunities

Identify emerging trends, evolving consumer needs, and market shifts to proactively inform growth opportunities, innovation strategies, and risk mitigation plans.

Lead Research Excellence

Oversee research partners, methodologies, and insights platforms to ensure best-in-class practices, data integrity, and effective use of modern and AI-enabled research capabilities.

Drive Innovation

Continuously evolve how consumer insights are generated, synthesized, and activated to improve business decision-making and create competitive advantage.

Develop Talent & Capability

Build and develop insights capability across the organization while coaching and mentoring team members and cross-functional partners to increase consumer-centric thinking.

What You'll Bring to the Table
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in consumer insights, market research, strategy, analytics, or related disciplines
  • Significant experience in consumer products, retail, footwear, apparel, or adjacent industries
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior executives and shaping enterprise-level business decisions
  • Experience developing and leading insights strategies that drive measurable business impact
  • Experience leading agencies, external research partners, and cross-functional teams

Leadership Capabilities

  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to connect consumer insights to enterprise growth opportunities
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across complex stakeholder groups
  • Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with practical business application
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and lead through change

Technical Expertise

  • Deep expertise in consumer research methodologies, segmentation, tracking studies, analytics, and insights activation
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, brand equity measurement, and competitive intelligence
  • Experience leveraging data visualization and analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, AI-enabled insights platforms, etc.)
  • Ability to synthesize multiple data sources into clear business recommendations

Title: Director, Consumer & Brand Insights 

Salary or Pay Range: $165,000 - $175,000 

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

At Crocs, Inc. we believe in the power of a blend of in-person and virtual collaboration to drive creativity and strengthen relationships. Your participation in this flexible schedule plays a key role in building a connected and successful team. In-office requirements vary by our work personas: Resident (5 days), Collaborator (4 days), Connector (2-3 days), Explorer (fully remote). This role has been aligned to the Collaborator persona.
