Job description

Experienced Construction Accountant

Atlantic Pacific Standard is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Accountant to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role requiring strong accounting expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, job cost reports, and project budgets.
  • Monitor project costs and assist with financial forecasting.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Work closely with project managers and leadership to provide timely financial information and reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on professional who can work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Foundation construction software experience is not required, but is considered a plus.
