Job description

The Carpenter Superintendent will lead and oversee carpentry operations for commercial, industrial, and mixed-use construction projects. Managing medium to large teams of skilled workers, this role ensures quality control, adherence to safety standards, and efficient resource allocation. The superintendent also coordinates scheduling, maintains budget oversight, supports client relations, and fosters team training and problem-solving initiatives using various project management and communication tools.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily carpentry operations on commercial, industrial, and mixed-use sites
  • Supervise and manage medium to large teams of 11+ workers
  • Implement and monitor quality control and safety compliance standards
  • Coordinate project schedules and resource allocation effectively
  • Serve as liaison for moderate client interactions regarding project progress
  • Monitor budgets and control costs throughout project phases
  • Provide training and support to enhance team skills and efficiency
  • Conduct regular site inspections and produce detailed reports
  • Utilize project management software and scheduling tools to streamline processes
  • Directly involved with hiring, orientation, training, coaching, performance management and employee related decisions for concrete/carpenter direct reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years in carpentry supervision
