Summary
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales of new and used wholegood equipment across all product lines offered by Service Motor Company. This role actively builds and maintains relationships with current and prospective customers while representing and promoting the full range of company offerings, including parts, service, and precision technology solutions. The Outside Sales Representative plays a key role in driving customer satisfaction, market growth, and overall business success through professional, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented sales practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Secure and finalize all sales transactions, ensuring complete and accurate information is provided to the Regional Manager

  • Maintain regular contact with customers before, during, and after the sale to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships within assigned territory

  • Provide current and prospective customers with information on products, services, and value-added solutions

  • Attend and actively participate in weekly sales meetings; contribute ideas and feedback to support a collaborative and effective sales team

  • Maintain a detailed log of customer inquiries, and completed sales for tracking and follow-up using our CRM system

  • Attend educational seminars, trade shows, and industry events to expand product knowledge, enhance selling techniques, and develop business contacts

  • Stay current on inventory levels and product availability to ensure accurate customer communication

  • Promote and sell the full range of Service Motor Company products and services within assigned territory

  • Achieve sales goals and gross profit margins as established by the Regional Manager

Required Education and/or Experience
Associate degree or 2-year Technical Degree in a related field; 1-3 years of related experience
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree or 4-year Technical Degree in a related field; 3-5 years of related experience
