Job description

Grose and Manz Builders is growing and looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day on-site project operations and helping ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily on-site construction activity from start to finish
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, schedules, inspections, and material testing
  • Monitor jobsite quality, safety, and security measures
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Assist with permitting and brand approval processes when needed
  • Maintain a full understanding of project documents including drawings, specifications, submittals, soils reports, subcontracts, and purchase orders
  • Stay current on applicable construction codes and jobsite requirements
  • Lead direct reports and ensure company processes are followed
  • Prepare or assist with daily reports, two-week lookaheads, and project forecasting
  • Hold and manage job progress meetings and safety meetings
  • Assist in reviewing submittals as requested
  • Travel as needed based on project location
  • Always represent the company and its clients professionally and in their best interest

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or similar construction field leadership role
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, subcontractor coordination, inspections, and site safety
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of construction codes and permitting processes
  • Must be willing to travel when required
  • OSHA 30 certification required, or ability to obtain and maintain it
