Location: Remote (work from home)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base salary is $70,000 annually, total expected annual comp at plan with commission is ~130k.

Our mission is to move beyond being a vendor and become a trusted restoration partner by delivering exceptional service and being the first choice for mitigation and restoration needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Operations Manager to lead and support our internal Project Managers and subcontracted restoration teams nationwide. This role oversees water mitigation, mold remediation, asbestos abatement, reconstruction, and other commercial restoration projects while ensuring exceptional client service, operational efficiency, and project success.

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing client work orders, coordinating nationwide resources, maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs), developing job scopes and proposals, and ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

This is a 24/7 operational role. Incoming client work orders must be acknowledged and responded to within five (5) minutes of receipt. There are no exceptions to this expectation. As the role evolves, rotating after-hours and weekend coverage may be implemented; however, the initial and ongoing expectation is that the Operations Manager always remains available and responsive outside of approved vacation.

Successful completion of the company's required training program is a condition of employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound emergency restoration work orders from nationwide clients
  • Respond to new work orders immediately (within five minutes)
  • Assign and allocate work orders to Project Managers and subcontractor partners
  • Coordinate restoration projects across all 50 states
  • Maintain daily written and verbal communication with clients
  • Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance and client satisfaction
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of all deliverables
  • Develop job estimates, quotes, and proposals
  • Review project documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze operational performance and financial data
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management initiatives
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Lead, coach, and support Project Managers and subcontracted teams
  • Maintain accurate job records and operational documentation
  • Ensure quality standards, safety requirements, and company procedures are followed
  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve operational performance
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities simultaneously

Qualifications

Required

  • Hands-on restoration field experience with the ability to effectively lead field teams and Project Managers
  • Minimum of 5 years of operations management and/or project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries:
    • Commercial restoration
    • Residential restoration
    • Insurance claims management
  • General familiarity of building systems and trades, including:
    • Electrical
    • Plumbing
    • HVAC
    • General construction
  • Experience working in both field operations and office environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based business applications
  • Self-motivated with an exceptional work ethic
  • Comfortable working remotely while managing projects nationwide
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with changing priorities and ambiguity
  • Willingness to maintain an "always on" operational mindset outside of scheduled vacation

  • Experience with Xactimate
  • Experience using XactAnalysis
  • Knowledge of commercial restoration estimating and insurance claims processes
  • IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) Certification
  • IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) Certification
  • Additional IICRC certifications are a plus
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and nationwide restoration crews
  • Familiarity with commercial emergency response operations
