We are currently looking for Construction General Laborers with experience working in water and sewer to join our team in Orleans, IN. In this role, you’ll work alongside a Lead Groundman, Foreman, or independently to keep projects running smoothly and safely. If you enjoy hands-on work, learning new skills, and contributing to a team, we want to hear from you.
The starting pay is $35.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with installing trench and excavation safety systems to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Help set up and install underground utility pipelines for water, sewer, and storm lines.
  • Support testing and sampling of installed utility pipelines to ensure quality and performance.
  • Familiarize yourself with Indiana’s no-dig laws and the 811 process to help us stay compliant.
  • Maintain general housekeeping, erosion control, and tool upkeep to keep the site organized and efficient.
  • Operate equipment such as pipe saws, pumps, and impact wrenches to assist with project needs.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control systems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Drive the crew truck to and from the job site when necessary.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed to support the crew and project.

What We Need:

  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record; CDL preferred.
  • Experience working outdoors in the construction or general labor industry required.
  • Experience in the water and sanitary pipe industry preferred. 
  • Knowledge of pipeline construction methods, techniques, and tools.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require sitting, bending, standing, walking, and climbing; Ability to lift over 50 pounds when required.
  • Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
  • Ability to travel weekly throughout the state of Indiana.
