Job description

About the role:

As an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Systems Engineer II you will support the implementation of systems engineering processes on large-scale Westinghouse projects. This role focuses on applying configuration management, requirements management, and verification & validation (V&V) principles across multiple systems, ensuring consistency and quality. You will coordinate and lead technical design activities across multi-disciplinary teams, driving successful project execution.

You will report to the Supervisor, Systems Engineering & Requirement Management and be located at the Warrendale, PA facility on a hybrid basis. No relocation will be provided for this position.  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain integrated systems engineering processes and tools for assigned projects.

  • Decompose and translate technical and process requirements from contracts, codes, and standards into I&C-specific requirements.

  • Apply fundamental engineering principles to develop technical solutions and support design decisions.

  • Support configuration management and requirements management activities.

  • Assist in verification and validation planning and execution.

  • Prepare reports on design changes, metrics, and configuration control activities.

  • Provide labor and cost estimates for project scopes.

  • Facilitate technical discussions between cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Communicate analyses, results, and implementation plans effectively in both written and verbal formats.

  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships by addressing concerns and delivering solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years of applicable experience required.
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn.

  • Familiarity with complex I&C systems (preferred).

  • Understanding of configuration management, requirements management, and V&V concepts (preferred).

  • Knowledge of statistics and data analysis (preferred).

  • Experience with data entry and database management.
