Configuration Analyst

Job Description: Supports the establishment and maintenance of the customers IT asset and configuration management program. They must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge in maintaining the consistency of information regarding the design requirements, functional and physical attributes, and operational information of enterprise configuration items (CIs). Candidates should have knowledge and experience in IT asset, configuration, change, release, and deployment management. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, business management, and customer service skills

Job Responsibilities:

Maintaining a comprehensive, effective CM program

  • Support IT Governance
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of an IT asset management program
  • Support the tracking of assets and configuration items through the full lifecycle; provide detailed analysis the informs customer during lifecycle planning.
  • Support the collection of configuration data.
  • Support the development of CMDB policy, processes and knowledge base.
  • Provide support in the maintenance of the organizational Configuration Management Database (CMDB) auditing to ensure the accuracy of configuration data and proper reporting and status accounting.
  • Works with the Configuration management team, to improve CI data integrity regarding classes, naming conventions, attributes, data sources, and relationships
  • Assisting in developing standard IT configuration management methodology; establish a mature process for change management/enablement. Monitoring standards compliance, as well as change and release implementation
  • Ensure the establishment of detailed records that provide current state of CIs, historical changes, and checks/balances that are fully auditable.
  • Conducting Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Review Board (CRB) meetings or other medium established to manage change control.
  • Utilizing NIST SP 800-128 (Security Focused Configuration Management), NIST CM Controls, DoW CIO ZTA directives, standards, and frameworks support the tracking and enumeration of CIs with respect to security risk.
  • Working with Cross-functional teams with multiple product owners
  • Validate the soundness and accuracy of configuration management audits and reconciliation
  • Works with other ITSM processes to inform configuration management activities based on new requirements ensuring alignment to NIST and ZTA frameworks
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

This position requires 1-5 years of intensive and progressive specialized experience. This position also requires Germany TESA as follows:

Bachelors Degree and 3 years relevant experience (or)
Associates degree and 7 years relevant experience (or)
No degree and 11 years of directly applicable experience

Note: Minimum experience requirement will be the greater of position and TESA requirements.

Minimum Education: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study which is closely related to the work to be automated and 5 years relevant experience, and/or in a computer science, information system, a physical science, engineering or a mathematics-intensive discipline.


Additional Requirements: Candidate must meet Germany TESA requirements as follows:

Germany:

  • A Bachelors Degree and three (3) years of recent specialized experience; or
  • Associates Degree and seven (7) years of recent specialized experience; or
  • No degree and 11 years or recent specialized experience.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
