Job description

Position Description

Directly support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, California. Duties will include:

  • Develop or acquire a Configuration Management System for creating, tracking, and retrieving controlled documentation.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity configuration management toolsets and workflows for RDT&E lab configurations.
  • Develop and modify CM plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide life cycle management of hardware and software configuration items.
  • Maintain a configuration management library of documentation to include, but not limited to, the following-

Lab accreditation artifacts (Configuration Management plan, Assessment and Authorization plan, etc.)

Change control

Network diagrams

Computer log histories

Incident reports

Meeting minutes (Change Control Board, status updates, etc.)

  • Collaborate with IT operations teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration information is available.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira Projects, Jira Helpdesk and Wiki
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Planner.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps.

Candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and has knowledge or experience with CM tools, creating and maintaining configuration baselines, and implementing the CM discipline for the entire life cycle of a system.

Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in configuration management and analysis.

Education: BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a "Relevant Technical Discipline".

BaseHourly Range: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

This base pay range is specific to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington, and any other state that may require such disclosure. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
