Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Software Configuration Analyst / Principal Software Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
**This role may be filled at the Base OR Principal level based on the qualifications listed, below**
In this role, the successful candidate will develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Change board administrator and facilitator-review, scribe, manage, report, and hold multiple meetings weekly with software teams in the appropriate allotted time period and deliver meeting minutes and notes at the conclusion of each meeting.
  • Review several different software documentations, ensuring CM processes are implemented.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining several projects within Jira.
  • Organize, review, and authorize the release of new and revised documents specified by Program or Engineering Management.
  • Building and creating an Artifactory to process and manage all software licenses for the program including costs and renewals more efficiently.
  • Library custodian for all physical media that is acquired by the department for the program.

Basic Qualifications (Base):
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 year of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company

Basic Qualifications (Principal):
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 1 year of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
  • Understanding of configuration management principles / best practices to include management of contract and supplier data
  • Excellent organizational skills to include the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Previous experience working on a large proposal effort

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
