Job description

Overview

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a on a Jr. AV Suport Technician (Conference Center) on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

The right candidate will possess the belowย skills and qualificationsย and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as an Conference Center Audio Visual Liaison for all events.ย ย 
  • Facilitates meetings and engages regularly with customers to:
    • Coordinates and plans emerging customer requirements for conference center events.
    • Addresses AV/IT related questions or concerns.
    • Provides situational awareness to Conference Center stakeholders concerning upcoming maintenance of AV/IT systems or technology refresh efforts associated with systems installed in the Conference Center spaces.
  • Provides live event support.
  • Maintains IT and AV equipment related to information displays, digital signage, monitors, laptops, video recording devices and other related end user devices.
  • Operates and manages equipment for presentations, sound, lighting and audio/video conferencing.
  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for utilization of Conference Center equipment.
  • Escalates AV/IT issues to Tier 3 when needed.
  • Provides workstation (thick and thin client), VoIP Device, and voice and video conference support.
  • Resolves AV/IT incidents from cradle to grave, works closely with engineering teams and other ISP Contractor Stakeholders when AV/IT issues require Tier 3 escalation or have dependencies external to the UDS contract.
  • Provides user education and training in basic hardware and software functions.
  • Creates and maintains documentation and SOPs to train new employees.
  • Identifies and executes process improvements and other enhancements that improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications

Clearance Required:TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI poly.

Degree and Years of Experience: Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of years of experience and education.

  • 3+ years of prior relevant experience.

Desired Certifications:

  • Preferred not required: A+ Certification, N+ Certification, Security + or other DoD 8570.01M certification.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • AMX, Crestron, and Extron A/V equipment
    • AMX touch panels
    • Camera control
    • Production switcher
    • Audio signals
    • Video signals
    • Understanding of audio mixers and speakers
    • Understanding of audio and video connections
    • Workstations (thin and thick clients)
    • Monitors
    • Audio Visual Services
    • Voice and VTC Support Services
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and strong communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong writing skills (document creation and management).
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work flexible schedules to meet job requirements.
  • Ability to work independently on projects and/or tasks.
  • Ability to regularly stand and walk between buildings on a large campus.
  • Ability to move and lift A/V equipment, monitors, and other hardware.
  • Experience and/or knowledgeable with; Windows 7; Windows 10.
  • Technical understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook; Word; Excel; PowerPoint; etc.).
  • Team player and willing to both share knowledge and learn from others to ensure team's success.
  • Enthusiasm and ability to adapt to new and changing technologies
