Job Description
Brookfield Properties has an immediate need for a Conference Services Attendant at the corporate office in Chicago, IL.
The Conference Services Attendant will be responsible for cross functional support with the following areas: Conference Services, Office Services, and Corporate Services. These areas of responsibility will be assigned based on departmental needs. The employee is expected to provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external business partners in all areas of support.
Responsibilities
Conference Services
  • Restock and maintenance of Pantries and Coffee Bars - weekly and daily rinse of coffee machines and restocking of coffee and paper supplies
  • Receive merchandise from vendors - Big Apple and Canteen
  • Reconfigure conference rooms when needed
  • Setup/breakdown catering orders
  • Restocking of the Fooda fridge

Office Services Back-Up
  • Pick up mail from USPS
  • Help with binding on print jobs
  • Deliver/pick up mail from floors
  • Cover switchboard/reception

Corporate Services Back-Up
  • Temperature readings
  • Provide cube and workstation keys when needed
  • Help maintain the Rooftop Deck: removal and placement of cushions and outdoor games, and wiping down of tables when needed
  • Waste basket and recycling needs
  • Immediate Housekeeping requests: spills, mopping (rain and snow), etc.
  • First Aid restocking
  • Relocating broken furniture

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of office services or conference services experience, preferably in a mailroom, legal or corporate environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, customer service, professional attitude and appearance a must
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with occasional overtime and to meet deadlines
  • Physical activity required including bending, reaching, lifting and prolonged periods of sitting or standing. May lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Compensation
  • Salary type: Non-Exempt
  • Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
  • Hourly Pay Range: $19.23 - $26.44 per hour
  • Annual Bonus: 4%
