Position Summary

Prime Concessions is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and operationally driven Director of Concessions to lead and expand its food & beverage concessions business across live events, festivals, concerts, venues, experiential activations, and external client partnerships.

This role oversees all aspects of concessions operations including revenue generation, partner development, mobile and venue-based food & beverage operations, staffing, inventory management, logistics, liquor operations, and event execution. The Director of Concessions will play a critical role in building scalable and innovative hospitality experiences that enhance both guest satisfaction and business performance.

The ideal candidate combines strong operational discipline with creativity and business development instincts, equally comfortable managing P&Ls, negotiating liquor partnerships, building immersive culinary concepts, overseeing large-scale event operations, and developing external business opportunities.

This position also oversees concession-related assets including temporary bars, portable infrastructure, inventory systems, equipment rentals, beverage programs, and an affiliated liquor store operation that supports both internal and external event business.


Key Responsibilities


Concessions Operations & Event Execution

  • Lead all concessions operations across concerts, festivals, sporting events, brand activations, private events, and venue programming
  • Oversee event-based food & beverage execution including bars, concessions stand, VIP hospitality, portable beverage programs, and temporary food service environments
  • Manage operational planning for all concession activations including staffing, equipment, inventory, logistics, permitting, and execution timelines
  • Develop scalable systems and SOPs for event concessions, mobile operations, and multi-location event environments
  • Ensure seamless event-day execution while maintaining high standards of hospitality, safety, cleanliness, and guest experience
  • Oversee load-in/load-out operations related to concessions equipment, bars, refrigeration, inventory, and mobile assets



Business Development & External Partnerships

  • Grow and manage external concessions business opportunities for third-party events, venues, festivals, and hospitality partners
  • Oversee and support sales personnel responsible for generating external food & beverage business and concession partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with promoters, venue partners, event organizers, sponsors, and hospitality clients
  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships with liquor brands, beverage suppliers, food vendors, distributors, and experiential partners
  • Negotiate sponsorship support, product partnerships, activations, and beverage programming opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing and sponsorship teams to develop branded hospitality experiences and revenue-generating activations



Culinary & Experiential Development

  • Curate and develop innovative food and beverage concepts that elevate the guest experience and align with event brands and audiences
  • Source, negotiate, and manage food vendor partnerships including local restaurants, chefs, food trucks, caterers, and pop-up operators
  • Concept immersive hospitality and culinary activations for festivals, VIP experiences, and branded events
  • Assist with menu development, beverage programming, pricing strategies, and operational layouts for concession environments
  • Partner with creative and production teams to integrate food & beverage experiences into broader event storytelling and experiential design



Liquor Store & Beverage Operations Oversight

  • Oversee operations of the affiliated liquor store and ensure alignment with concessions purchasing, inventory, and event support needs
  • Manage liquor purchasing, allocations, supplier & distributor relationships, and beverage inventory strategies across all business units to optimize product offerings and pricing strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal alcohol sales and service laws, licensing requirements, and operational procedures
  • Monitor beverage cost controls, product usage, inventory movement, and operational efficiencies
  • Support product innovation and strategic beverage offerings across concessions and hospitality environments



Staffing & Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage event-based concessions staff, bartenders, barbacks, cashiers, supervisors, and operational support teams
  • Build and maintain a reliable network of temporary labor, independent contractors, staffing agencies, and event personnel
  • Develop staffing models and labor strategies that align with event size, operational complexity, and profitability goals
  • Lead teams with a hospitality-first mindset while maintaining accountability and operational discipline
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, urgency, teamwork, and guest-focused execution


Financial, Inventory & Administrative Oversight

  • Oversee concessions P&Ls including revenue tracking, labor management, cost controls, purchasing, and profitability analysis
  • Manage inventory systems for alcohol, beverages, dry goods, disposables, supplies, and operational equipment
  • Monitor and control labor costs, food and beverage cost percentages, operational expenses, and event-specific margins
  • Oversee concession-related equipment including bars, refrigeration, draft systems, POS systems, generators, trailers, tents, and rental inventory
  • Coordinate logistics related to transportation, warehousing, equipment deployment, and asset management
  • Support post-event reconciliation, reporting, invoicing, and operational analysis



Compliance & Operational Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all health department regulations, food safety standards, alcohol service laws, and venue requirements
  • Oversee permitting and operational approvals related to food & beverage service and concession operations
  • Implement safety procedures and operational best practices for all event and hospitality environments
  • Maintain operational readiness and quality standards across all concessions assets and service environments



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in concessions, food & beverage operations, hospitality management, live events, festivals, venue operations, or experiential hospitality
  • Strong background in large-scale event concessions, bars, beverage operations, or multi-unit hospitality environments
  • Experience managing mobile concessions, temporary event infrastructure, or festival food & beverage programs
  • Proven experience negotiating vendor agreements, liquor partnerships, sponsorships, or hospitality activations
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, labor forecasting, purchasing, and operational cost controls
  • Experience managing external client relationships and revenue-generating partnerships
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-volume event environments
  • Experience managing both operational and business development functions preferred
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours


Preferred Experience

  • Experience with concerts, festivals, stadiums, arenas, entertainment venues, or experiential marketing environments
  • Existing relationships with liquor brands, distributors, hospitality vendors, or food operators preferred
  • Experience overseeing liquor retail operations or beverage distribution environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management platforms, and event operations software
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred



Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events and operational execution
  • Ability to lift and move inventory, equipment, and supplies up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in warehouses, outdoor event sites, kitchens, bars, and active production environments
  • Ability to work extended hours during event builds, festivals, and live operations
