Housing: Housing may be available for the right candidate


Compensation: $15-$18/hr


Schedule:
Up to 40 hours per week, including required evenings/weekends.

Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the heart of the Berkshires, is seeking a Concessions Associate to join our Guest Services team in Pittsfield, MA. The Concessions Associate works closely with the Concessions Captain and the Guest Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe concessions operations during performances. They help maintain inventory, manage sales, support colleagues, and contribute to a welcoming, professional, and enjoyable experience for all patrons.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Concessions Associate supports daily concessions operations, including sales, inventory management, and cash handling, while providing friendly, human-centered customer service throughout performances. This role helps ensure a smooth and welcoming front-of-house experience for all patrons.



REQUIREMENTS

  • Manage daily concessions operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash and credit card sales, and financial reconciliation.
  • Set up and break down the concessions stand before and after each performance.
  • Maintain and restock inventory in the POS system (e.g., Square) and from backstock.
  • Communicate regularly with the Concessions Captain about needs and operational updates.
  • Participate in team meetings to provide feedback on guest trends, sales performance, and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth front-of-house operations.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • No previous work experience required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are valued.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and problem-solve in real time.
  • Basic cash-handling accuracy and comfort in processing payments or transactions.
