Job description

The Medical Assistant provides care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and assists with medical emergencies and medical care under the supervision of the Physician. Obtains vital signs, blood specimens, EKG's, vision tests, pulmonary function test, drug testing, rapid strep, rapid pregnancy testing, dressing changes, and other nursing services as required by the practice. Obtains relevant medical information and records in EMR.

Assists with in-office surgical procedures and exams and arranges for community care and diagnostic tests as needed. The Medical Assistant maintains the flow of patients through the practice in concert with the clerical and other nursing staff.
