Job description

Batteries Plus is looking for an IT Support Representative I to provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues across the organization. In this role, you'll help troubleshoot and resolve user problems, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver exceptional service to ensure our systems-and our people-stay connected and productive.

What You'll Do

  • Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, and in person.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

  • Install and configure computers, software, and peripheral equipment.

  • Guide users through diagnostic steps and explain solutions clearly.

  • Log and track issues in the ticketing system with detailed documentation.

  • Escalate complex technical problems as needed per support procedures.

  • Collaborate with vendors for equipment repair or replacement.

  • Assist with new hardware rollouts and IT system updates.

  • Maintain a strong customer service focus in every interaction.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • At least 1 year of IT support or customer-facing technical experience.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and standard hardware components.

  • Basic understanding of networking and troubleshooting principles.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
