Job description

Job Overview:
As a Packaging Technician you will play a vital role in the production and packaging of BacT/ALERT bottles while adhering to cGMP guidelines. Operating high-speed equipment, conducting quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations are central aspects of this role. This 12-month contract position offers a competitive pay rate and a chance to contribute to the production of critical medical products.
Key Responsibilities:
Production:
Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment, including automated systems, using HMI/SCADA interfaces.
Execute production activities according to approved Manufacturing Directions, while ensuring compliance with all relevant SOPs.
Quality:
Complete accurate and timely batch paperwork.
Document all processes and procedures in adherence to company and regulatory regulations.
Assist in reviewing and revising Manufacturing Directions and SOPs.
Collaborate in manufacturing deviation analysis, CAPA actions, and addressing quality concerns.
Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with cGMP standards.
Safety:
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures consistently.
Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for routine and non-routine duties.
Other Duties:
Generate reports, charts, and KPIs to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Participate in validation protocols for manufacturing/packaging equipment and procedures.
Utilize computer applications effectively.
Fulfill other tasks assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED at a minimum.
Experience:
  1. years of experience in a regulated production/operations environment.

Skills:
Preferred certification in Bioworks Program.
Proficiency in operating high-speed, highly automated production equipment.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations (LOTO, electrical safety, etc.) preferred.
Familiarity with FDA and/or GMP regulations.
Mechanical background is advantageous.
Ability to learn new procedures quickly and implement them effectively.
Capability to operate new equipment competently within 75 days of training.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend, walk, and stand for the entire shift.
Regular stair climbing and operation of motorized pallet jacks.
Handling of chemicals, antibiotics, and hazardous materials may be required.
Exposure to strong odors during media production or other operations.
PPE, including hairnets, safety glasses, gloves, masks, etc., is mandatory.
Punctual attendance and willingness to work overtime to support 24/7 production.
