Job description

OverviewDirector of Business Development role at Osmose in the Investor Owned Utilities market. This is a remote position, ideally located in the Midwest (Indianapolis, Dayton, Cincinnati, or Columbus). The role focuses on direct sales of Osmose services and products and coordinating with Corporate Development and Product Management when team selling is required.Manage the assigned customer base to increase sales, profits, market share, and support the Osmose brand image.ResponsibilitiesInitiate and conduct sales calls and presentations to established prospective customers for all Osmose services and products.

Build relationships with contacts inside each utility at various levels, including senior executives.Create sales plans and schedules to ensure market coverage with appropriate contact frequency based on priorities and value.Coordinate sales activity with General Managers-Operations to maintain the existing customer base and support sales calls to new customers.Use customer and market intelligence to advise the Contracts team on proposal development and craft specific language when necessary. Submit price recommendations to the Vice President-Business Development and Contracts team after gathering production and scheduling information from Operations.Collaborate with operations to align crew availability with project schedules and customer expectations.Develop and maintain an annual sales forecast for assigned accounts with Sr. Director and VP-Business Development, updating it regularly for accuracy.Record and maintain customer and contact information in company systems.Develop and implement annual plans to improve personal professional performance and effectiveness.Participate in and contribute to company sales and product training initiatives.RequirementsBachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in consultative sales.
