Job Title: Systems Support Analyst
Type of Engagement: 6-month contract (Not open to 3rd party C2C consultants. Visa sponsorship is not available)
Work Location: Hybrid position in Raleigh, NC (3 days onsite)
Job Overview:
The Systems Analyst serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood, documented, and translated into effective system solutions.
This role evaluates existing systems, integrations and processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and supports the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise applications and integrations. The Systems Analyst plays a key role in driving operational efficiency, data quality, and user adoption across business and technology teams.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Business & Requirements Analysis
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and system needs
  • Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements
  • Translate business requirements into clear system specifications, flow charts, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to align requirements and solutions
System Design & Solution Support
  • Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and vendors to design scalable and sustainable system solutions
  • Support system configuration, enhancements, and integrations across enterprise platforms
  • Evaluate system impacts of new requirements, changes, and enhancements
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, data governance, and security standards
  • Contribute to Salesforce solution implementation, including hands-on configuration and development support
  • Partner with developers to translate requirements into technical designs and build-ready specifications
Process Improvement & Optimization
  • Analyze existing business processes and system workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Recommend process and system enhancements to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience
  • Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative tools (Flow Builder, Process Automation, Object Model design)
  • Foundational knowledge of Apex, SOQL, and Salesforce development patterns
  • Familiarity with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration concepts
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows) preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce data model design, security model (profiles, permission sets), and sharing rules
  • Ability to debug using logs, debug tools, and basic monitoring techniques
Testing & Implementation Support
  • Develop and execute test scenarios and test cases to validate system functionality
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), defect triage, and resolution
  • Assist with deployment activities, documentation, and end-user enablement
  • Support post-implementation review and ongoing optimization
Stakeholder Communication & Documentation
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between business, IT, and external partners
  • Create and maintain system documentation, process flows, and functional design artifacts
  • Provide clear, consistent communication on requirements, changes, risks, and dependencies
Salesforce Development & Configuration Support
  • Support the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions through configuration and light development (declarative-first approach)
  • Build and maintain Flows, validation rules, fields, page layouts, and Lightning components
  • Assist in developing Apex classes, triggers, and SOQL queries under guidance from senior developers
  • Support integration development activities, including API testing and payload validation
  • Participate in code reviews, deployments, and release management processes (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, change sets)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, bugs, and data inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned to standards

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-7 years of experience in a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role
  • Strong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and process analysis
  • Experience working with enterprise systems (Salesforce CRM, ERP, marketing platforms, data platforms, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience working with system integrations and data flows, including:
    • Upstream and downstream data ingestion and activation between systems
    • Understanding of data movement across CRM, marketing automation, data platforms, and analytics tools
    • Ability to document source-to-target mappings, data dependencies, and integration impacts
  • Experience working in agile and/or hybrid delivery environments (e.g., Jira, user stories, backlogs)
  • Familiarity with data models, integrations, and APIs
  • Experience supporting global or cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of compliance, data privacy, or regulated industries (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Marketing Automation, or Data Platforms
  • Relevant Salesforce Certifications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Exposure to Salesforce development concepts (Apex, Flow, integrations) or prior experience in a junior developer capacity
  • Experience contributing to Salesforce configuration or development in Agile delivery teams

  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical resources across multiple regions
