IS THIS POSITION FOR YOU?

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will support hardware and software systems. Implement and maintain data automation processes. Primary Coordinator for the core system platform. Maintains the core system data processing, reporting, and maintenance schedule. Participate in implementation of IT projects. Recommend changes, upgrades, and new services that meet the needs of the credit union.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Serves as the primary coordinator for the core-system platform.
  2. Create and manage core system batch jobs for staff reports and vendor integrations.
  3. Create and generate reports and Specfiles from the credit union's core financial system.
  4. Provide technical assistance for core-system or core-system linked applications.
  5. Maintains core system data processing and maintenance schedule.
  6. Coordinate data exchange between internal systems and external vendors through automation.
  7. Assist in analyzing user requirements, procedures, and management of projects.
  8. Maintains core-system documentation according to applicable policies and standards.
  9. Work in tandem with Systems Analyst on core-system data processing, reporting, and procedures as required.
  10. Provide assistance as needed for all aspects of the IT department.
  11. Perform other duties as requested.
EDUCATION

A minimum of two years of information technology experience or training is required. A minimum of two years of experience using or managing the core system is preferred. A minimum of two years college education is preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Experience with Symitar Episys software and PowerOn programming is required. This person must have a working knowledge of various database structures and tools. Extensive background in computer programming is essential, as is use of modern automation tools. Training with Windows O/S is also preferred.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The duties of the position can be physically demanding and require the lifting of computer hardware and other IT related products, which are often bulky and heavy. Good manual dexterity is needed to work with equipment and keyboards. The ability to endure long hours is required, specifically during projects.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires someone who is detail-oriented and dependable in both performance and attendance. Must be able to work with limited supervision. Good organizational and problem-solving skills are needed along with accuracy and thoroughness. Must complete ongoing training for skill enhancements as determined by management. Must be able to function as a multi-skilled member of a diverse team of IT professionals, as well as with end-users.

OTHER

A valid driver's license is required as a company car is often used in this position to deliver supplies and/or equipment to the branch locations.
