About the Position

The Information Systems Manager is an integral part of the IT Infrastructure and Operations Team (I&O). This role will collaborate closely with the I&O team to troubleshoot intricate IT issues, manage computer system updates, and adeptly install hardware and software, catering to diverse departmental needs. Through a team of direct reports, the position bears the responsibility for driving operational and service management processes, ensuring the attainment of quality, efficiency, and agility objectives within the Windows and Linux server landscapes.

Functions
  • Manages a team of direct reports responsible for server infrastructure and overseeing the following:
  • Monitor all server/system infrastructure in a 7X24x365 environment.
  • Troubleshoot and support Windows and Linux servers and systems.
  • Maintenance of mission critical servers and systems.
  • Oversee the design, setup, and configuration of infrastructure services.
  • Develop, administer, and monitor security systems.
  • Create and manage operational procedures, records, documents, and technical diagrams to ensure streamlined workflows and documentation accuracy.
  • Oversee and evaluate the productivity and performance of IT staff, conducting performance reviews, and effectively prioritizing and scheduling tasks to optimize team efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call assignments and responding to emergencies for after-hours support, while also strategizing and developing long-term schedules for timely updates to company computer systems and cybersecurity measures.
  • Investigate new business technologies and IT software solutions, assessing their suitability to enhance the organization's computer systems, and implementing software programs and innovative technologies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Act as a key liaison for internal business partners, ensuring timely delivery of products and services that support and align with business operations.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties assigned by management, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing organizational needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in in computer science, information systems, business administration field or related required or equivalent years of experience required. Equivalent years of experience is defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting systems as an administrator, analyst, engineer or related role required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisor/managerial experience required.
  • Experience with cloud-based services required, preferably AWS.
  • At least one or more of the following industry certifications/endorsements are strongly desired: AWS, Azure, Microsoft, Nutanix, and VMWare certifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, whether written or oral
  • Client management skills to include buy-in on new solutions.
