Overview Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. A leader in cutting-edge research and technology in the cyber arena, CPMG focuses on using business drivers to guide cybersecurity activities and manage risk. CPMG offers flexible, integrative solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) contractors, among others, and specializes in cybersecurity, information and operational technology, electronic security surveillance, and support services.

Summary: The Engineer, Computer IV (Team Lead) serves as the senior technical lead for computer engineering and platform-level engineering activities supporting the Clinical Infrastructure Modernization Program Lifecycle Environment (CIMPLE). This role is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and sustainment of computer platforms and virtualization technologies supporting the Compute and Storage Management Service (CSMS) and Data Center Operations (DCOPS). Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: * Lead computer engineering activities supporting server virtualization and compute platforms * Provide technical leadership for installation, configuration, and optimization of Type-1 hypervisors, including VMware ESXi, Red Hat OpenShift/RHV, and Microsoft Hyper-V * Oversee hardware integration and lifecycle management for compute platforms (Cisco, Dell, HPE), including GPU-enabled systems * Support performance tuning, capacity planning, and availability optimization for enterprise virtualization environments * Lead testing and validation of new hypervisor releases and platform updates in pre-production lab environments * Execute and oversee system-wide upgrades, patching, and configuration standardization in accordance with program change management processes * Provide escalation-level technical support for 24x7 operational environments to ensure rapid issue resolution Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: * Advanced knowledge of computer engineering principles and enterprise compute platforms * Expertise with server virtualization technologies and Type-1 hypervisors * Strong understanding of server hardware, storage connectivity (NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel), and networking fundamentals Minimum Qualifications: * Must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise compute and virtualization environments * Demonstrated experience serving as a technical lead or senior engineer * Must have a Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field Pay and Benefits The annual salary range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000.
