Jamison Professional Services, Inc. ("Jamison") is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Drafter/CAD Operator IV.
Job Title: Drafter/CAD Operator IV | Asheville, NC
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
This task order will provide support for the engineering groups of the USDA Forest Service Research and Development organization. The engineering group support includes several complex functions - some of which are unique to the organization and require integration of CAD, maintaining interactive maps and associated geospatial data, maintaining infrastructure databases, and developing technical requirements for maintenance and repair of infrastructure assets.
REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proven expertise in the field of CAD.
Proficient skills in computer operations, online tool applications, and custom software applications.
Expertise in AutoDesk software.
Familiarity AutoDesk Revit.
Fluency in English.
Familiarity with agency websites and software systems.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that accurate, professionally developed design drawings and specifications are developed to maintain R&D facilities and other infrastructure.
Ensure data collection, analysis, and upward reporting is accurate.
Specifically, the contractor shall:
  1. Ensure existing engineering archives are properly documented and filed for future reference.
  2. Develop CAD drawings and basic Revit models for critical projects technical specifications, and geospatial maps that adhere to all federal and professional standards that support implementation of administration and agency priorities in the most efficient manner possible.
  3. Ensure maintenance and backups to engineering databases are accurate.
  4. Collect, analyze, and record infrastructure data for upward reporting and future reference to priority projects.
  5. Communicate technical project requirements to a diverse set of users.
  6. Implement critical facility safety and operations standards for the facility.
  7. Ensure task order is supported by qualified Key Personnel. Task order shall have a maximum of 1 assigned Key Personnel to ensure consistency with support and communication.
  8. Ensure key personnel complete all mandatory training required to access agency IT systems.
  9. Ensure key personnel complete all mandatory requirements for LincPass credentials.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Work schedule is 40 hours per week. Normal work hours shall be between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday - Friday. With COR approval, daily start and/or stop hours may occasionally fluctuate to allow for appointments or a longer lunch period. Hours will not exceed 40 per week.
PRIMARY PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Asheville, NC
Clearance Level Required: Must be able to pass a Federal Background check. Employment is contingent upon approval of security clearance.
