Job Title: Drafter / CAD Operator IV Job Category: Service Contract Act Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * * * THE OPPORTUNITY: CACI is seeking a CAD Drafter to support our government Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHST) customers located in Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. In this role you will work closely with engineers, design originators, preparing drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs supporting munitions which require a high degree of precision. Performs unusually difficult assignments requiring considerable initiative, resourcefulness, and drafting expertise. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop engineering drawings using software AutoCAD 2018 and Creo 9.
* Assures that anticipated problems in manufacture, assembly, installation, and operation are resolved by the drawing produced
* Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on a knowledge of the design intent
* Although working primarily as a drafter, may occasionally interpret general designs prepared by others to complete minor details
* May provide advice and guidance to other drafters or serve as coordinator and planner for large and complex drafting projects QUALIFICATIONS: Required: * Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and at least 5 years of drafting experience
* Proficient with AutoCAD
* Proficient with Solid Edge
* Active Secret Clearance Desired: * AutoCAD related professional certifications
* Familiarity with military standards and specifications
* Experience supporting production and testing environments for containerized equipment
