NIGHT COMPUTER OPERATOR / HELP DESK SUPPORT JOB DESCRIPTION


SHIFT: Monday-Friday; 5:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m.

NOT a remote position. Location: Operations Center, Lexington, KY

SUMMARY


The position of Night Computer Operator / Help Desk Support is responsible for performing a variety of detailed IT duties, which include Statement and Notice printing, ACH, ATM, Check, file posting, Imaged document Indexing, ATM configuration maintenance, First level telephone support for internal bank clients.


Some weekend and after 5:00 p.m. work may be required


Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  1. Statement Printing
  2. Notice file printing
  3. ACH file processing
  4. ATM file processing
  5. Internet Banking file processing
  6. Check file posting and image processing
  7. Report archiving
  8. Monitor and maintain Phone Smart system
  9. Provide support to all assigned areas in the IT department where service or assistance is needed.
  10. Re-Indexing of Imaged documents
  11. Month, Quarter and Year end Processing
  12. Month end maintenance items
  13. Bi-Weekly payroll and g/l file posting
  14. First line Help Desk telephone support, which could include Precision, Integrated Teller, Active Directory password reset / clear.
  1. Performs related clerical duties such as answering the telephone, taking messages or forwarding calls, copying, typing routine letters, envelopes and forms, and filing.
  1. Help co-workers with assigned task, when daily assigned job duties are completed and assist with cross-training less experienced IT department personnel.

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY


The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The position could include driving a Bank or personal owned vehicle which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.


The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time lifting (up to 35 pounds), carrying, pulling, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching in limited spaces, writing, typing, speaking, listening, sitting, walking, driving and seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus).


The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, cellular telephone, personal digital assistant (PDA) and/or Blackberry, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), check protector, scanner and image systems, scanning equipment, encoder, money counter, credit card terminal, typewriter, computer terminal, laptop computer, personal computer and related printers, or other equipment as directed.

  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
