The Assistant Teacher, Associates Degree Level, performs duties under the general supervision of an immediate supervisor who evaluates performance through observation of work, periodic conferences, critiques, and/or records and reports.

Responsibilities:
• Administers pre- and post-tests for identified deficient standards/skills.
• Grades and files papers in student folders.
• Assigns appropriate worksheets and learning activities based on identified student needs.
• Tutors individual and small groups of students.
• Maintains records of student progress on assigned activities and worksheets.
• Replenishes and reproduces instructional materials and tests.
• Confers with teachers and assists teachers on student performance and instructional planning.
• Checks and maintains computer lab and equipment/supplies.
• Supervises student behavior with and without teacher assistance.
