Overview
Reporting to the Compounding Lead, the Compounder is responsible for accurately weighing and/or mixing raw materials according to product specifications

What You’ll Do

  • Follow all safety guidelines and be an integral part of the safety of the workplace by participating in all safety initiatives.
  • Wear all appropriate PPE when working with the chemicals and equipment required for weighing and batching.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all products are consistent and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards.
  • Ensure compounds are prepared in accordance to formulation and that all relevant compounding guidelines and quality standards are maintained
  • Assist with deodorant fill start up time with the Production Team.
  • Complete all daily lab department tasks.
  • Ensure efficient startups and shutdown of the compounding tanks.
  • Record and report defective, damaged, spilled, or otherwise lost materials or finished bulk product.
  • Complete all documentation for ongoing batches utilizing good documentation practices.
  • Be able to use, operate, and understand Batchmaster in all our required functions.
  • Work with the Compounding Lead/Supervisor to find problems and their solutions.
  • Perform daily cleaning and inspection checklist of equipment to prevent cross contamination
  • Report equipment issues and Work with maintenance to identify any malfunctioning or damaged equipment and have it repaired or removed from service.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company and safety standards.
  • Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Conduct quality control tests to verify product consistency and integrity
  • Any additional responsibilities that supervision requires for the success of the department and company.

Requirements

What We Require

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree in a science preferred
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication
  • Ability to stand for a significant portion of the shift
  • Ability to lift up 50 lbs regularly through the shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and or weekend work as required by management or the production schedule
  • Must be able to perform fundamental mathematical calculations
  • Availability to be onsite daily with reliable attendance during work hours; must be available/reachable during off hours in case of emergency
  • Consistently meet individual and team goals daily
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization, maintaining a positive and professional attitude
