Our pharmacy is a growing compounding practice focused on delivering personalized, high-quality medications to patients across Texas and several additional states. Our environment is collaborative, patient-centered, and provides an all-encompassing wellness ecosystem.
As we continue expanding our compounding capabilities, we're looking for an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to help launch and shape our sterile laboratory from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on developing workflows, processes, and quality systems while working alongside a close-knit, supportive team.
  • Monday-Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays

Position Summary
The Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in preparing customized sterile medications while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
This position involves sterile compounding from raw active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), sterile batch preparation and manufacturing, environmental monitoring, documentation, quality assurance, and pharmacy operations. The technician will work closely with pharmacists to ensure all sterile preparations meet USP <797>, state, and federal regulations.
Because our sterile department is a new addition, this role offers the unique opportunity to help establish best practices, participate in process validation, and contribute to the development of a best-in-class sterile compounding program.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Sterile Compounding
  • Prepare sterile compounded medications from raw APIs under pharmacist supervision
  • Perform aseptic technique using USP <797> standards
  • Participate in sterile batch preparation and manufacturing
  • Maintain accurate batch records and compounding documentation
  • Perform process validation activities
  • Assist with environmental monitoring and cleanroom quality assurance
  • Follow all garbing, hand hygiene, cleaning, and disinfecting procedures
  • Package and prepare sterile medications for dispensing and shipment
  • Assist with quality control and continuous process improvement initiatives

Pharmacy Operations
  • Enter and process prescription orders using LifeFile pharmacy software
  • Fill and dispense commercial medications as needed
  • Manage sterile medication and supply inventory
  • Restock pharmacy inventory and maintain organized workspaces
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and compliance documentation
  • Answer inbound and outbound patient phone calls
  • Assist patients with prescription updates, refill requests, and general pharmacy questions
  • Provide exceptional customer service to in-person pickup patients

Qualifications
Required
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Registration/License
  • Completion of an ACPE-accredited Sterile Compounding Certification Course
  • Experience compounding sterile medications from raw active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs)
  • Strong understanding of aseptic technique
