Role: DevOps Engineer with SecOps
Duration: 12 months
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma (3 days onsite)
Overview:
You will be part of a team of a global and cross-functional team of Product Owners, Solution Architects, Software Engineers and DevOps Engineers. In this highly challenging and motivating environment, you will drive the implementation of and the operations of core technical components and CICD pipeline of Cloud. This includes continuously supporting and improving the CICD pipeline, Infra-as-Code modules, platform observability and operations for the core components and exploring new technologies to drive technical changes. You will be part of Agile team with the mission to professionalize Cloud as the platform in accelerating software delivery and innovation
Responsibilities:
  • Own and drive technical implementation and operations of core technical components, platform interfaces and security interfaces and CICD pipeline such as API Management platform, web reverse proxy, web application, web services, content delivery network and web application firewall
  • With Product Owner, Solution Architect and other Developers, define and deliver feature and operational improvements following Hilti's Enterprise Architecture and Security principals
  • Provide support to Product development teams by setting up CICD pipeline, infrastructure, monitoring, operations, coordinating and performing releases, and provide 2nd/3rd level support for the solutions
  • Coordinating and performing evergreen activities with Product development teams
  • Continuously explore new technologies and solutions and drive technical change on Hilti Cloud
  • Continuously explore and drive improvements in terms of new technologies and solutions on Hilti Cloud platform
  • Stay up to date on trends in technology in general focusing on Observability, Software Architecture & Security, and Cloud Computing topics

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or in similar fields
  • 10+ years professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, SysOps Engineer, Software Engineer, API Engineer, or similar role with proven experience in software development and operation roles
  • Proven experience in following technologies is a must: microservices architecture, AWS and public cloud, REST APIs design, Pub/sub and event-drive architecture, CICD, infrastructure-as-code
  • Proven hands-on experience with one or more programming language (Java preferred), scripting language and CICD/DevOps tooling (GitLab, Terraform, EKS) using modern technologies
  • Experience in working within agile teams, and comfortable with continuous delivery environment
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders, highly committed, self-driven, and customer oriented
  • Team player with hands-on mentality and able to set priorities to craft a direction, while able to work independently
  • Passionate and constantly learning about new software technology and architecture
