POSITION PURPOSE
The Manufacturing Support Engineer is responsible for improving the performance, efficiency, and scalability of JBM’s manufacturing and contract packaging operations. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, and Continuous Improvement to analyze current-state processes, design sustainable improvements, and implement standards that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The position is hands-on, data-driven, and critical to supporting growth across filling, kitting, and assembly operations.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Balance day-to-day production support with longer-term process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify inefficiencies, quality risks, and gaps in standard work—and drive sustainable solutions, not quick fixes.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE THESE ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Observing production processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Leading or supporting CI projects from concept through implementation.
  • Collaborating with Operations, Quality, and CI teams.
  • Developing and updating standard work, procedures, and documentation.
  • Supporting layout changes and workstation improvements.
  • Reviewing performance to standards and addressing deviations.
YOUR KNOW-HOW
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

MUST-HAVES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering or manufacturing support experience.
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and structured problem solving.
  • Proven ability to work hands on in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Results driven mindset with strong follow-through.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills including prioritization, time management, meeting deadlines, and can quickly and efficiently adapt to disruption and competing priorities.
  • Competent with Intermediate Microsoft Office.
NICE-TO-HAVES
  • Experience supporting contract packaging, filling, kitting, or assembly operations.
  • Familiarity with time studies, quoting inputs, and BOM management.
