Pay Range: $25.44hr - $30.44hr
- The role involves supporting manufacturing operations for metallic frame components and cardiovascular implants through laser cutting, shape setting, electropolishing, chemical processing, inspection, and continuous process improvement within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Hands-on experience manufacturing metallic components in medical device or precision manufacturing environments.
- Experience with laser cutting, shape setting, and post-processing operations.
- Experience performing electropolishing or chemical surface finishing processes.
- Knowledge of implantable materials such as Nitinol, stainless steel, and biomedical alloys.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with engineering and production teams.
Experience:
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations for implantable or cardiovascular medical devices preferred.
- Experience with fixture development, tooling improvements, or manufacturing optimization preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture prototype metallic frame components and cardiovascular implants according to work instructions and quality standards.
- Operate and support laser cutting processes for metallic tubing and sheet components.
- Perform post-processing activities including cleaning, inspection, and preparation of components.
- Execute shape setting operations including fixture loading, thermal processing, and oven operation.
- Perform electropolishing and chemical finishing processes to achieve dimensional and surface finish requirements.
- Support additional chemical processing activities such as etching and passivation.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing methods.
- Provide input on manufacturability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Transfer knowledge and work instructions to operators and manufacturing staff.
- Inspect components using visual and measurement tools to ensure specification compliance.
- Document manufacturing activities in batch records, logs, and travelers in accordance with quality requirements.
- Maintain clean and safe work environments while following safety and contamination control procedures.
Should Have:
- Experience manufacturing cardiovascular or implantable medical devices.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and developing innovative solutions.
- Experience training or mentoring operators.
- Familiarity with implantable metals such as CoCr and Pt Ir.
- Understanding of GMP and medical device quality systems.
